Ben Lund received his Ph.D. from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, in 2017. He mostly works on problems related to combinatorial geometry, but also has publications in several other areas of combinatorics including extremal set theory, additive combinatorics, graph theory, and coding theory. Before coming to Xidian University, he was a postdoc at University of Georgia, an NSF postdoctoral fellow at Princeton University, and a senior researcher at the Institute for Basic Science in Daejeon, South Korea. He joined Xidian University as a Distinguished Professor in September, 2025. He has published over 30 papers in journals including Advances in Mathematics (1), Discrete Analysis (1), Bulletin of the London Mathematical Society (1), Mathematika (1), Combinatorica (2), and SIAM Journal on Discrete Mathematics (4).
